【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasuresthepercentviscositylossat100Cofpolymer-containingfluidsusingfuelinjectorshearstabilitytest(FISST)equipment.Theviscositylossreflectspolymerdegradationduetoshearatthenozzle.Note1-TestMethodD2603hasbeenusedforsimilarevaluationofthisproperty.Ithasmanyofthesamelimitationsasindicatedinthesignificancestatement.Nodetailedattempthasbeenundertakentocorrelatetheresultsbythesonicandthedieselinjectormethods.EquipmentandreplacementpartsarenolongeravailableforTestMethodD2603asitiscurrentlywritten.Thetestmethodiscurrentlyunderrevision.Note2-ThistestmethodwasoriginallypublishedasProcedureBofTestMethodsD3945.TheFISSTmethodwasmadeaseparatetestmethodaftertestsofaseriesofpolymer-containingfluidsshowedthatProceduresAandBofTestMethodsD3945oftengivedifferentresults.ThevaluesgiveninSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
