【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationestablishesperformancerequirements,testmethodsandmarkingrequirementstopromotesafeuseofsoftinfantcarriers.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizetheriskofincidentstoaninfantfromthenormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseoftheseproducts.1.3Forpurposesofdefinition,asoftinfantcarrierisaproduct,normallyofsewnfabricconstruction,whichisdesignedtocontainafullterminfant,generallyinanuprightposition,incloseproximitytothecaregiver.Ingeneral,thechildwillweighbetween7and25lb(3.2and11.3kg).Thesoftinfantcarrierisnormallyx201C;wornx201D;bythecaregiverwiththecarrier,andthustheinfant,suspendedfromoneorbothshouldersofthecaregiver.Theseproductsaregenerallywornonthefrontofthecaregiver''sbodywiththeinfanteitherfacingtowardsorawayfromthecaregiver.Thisconsumersafetyspecificationdoesnotincludeproductsgenerallyreferredtoasx201C;slings.x201D;1.4Nosoftinfantcarrierproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththespecificationunlessitcomplieswithalloftherequirementscontainedherein.1.5Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisnotintendedtoaddressincidentsandinjuriesresultingfromtheinteractionofotherpersonsorobjectswiththecaregiverandinfantwhilethesoftcarrierisinuse.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7ofthisconsumersafetyspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
