【摘要】:Specifiestwohash-functionswhichmakeuseofmodulararithmetic.Thesehash-functions,whicharebelievedtobecollision-resistant,compressmessagesofarbitrarybutlimitedlengthtoahash-codewhoselengthisdeterminedbythelengthoftheprimenumberusedinthereduction-functiondefinedin7.3.Thus,thehash-codeiseasilyscaledtotheinputlengthofanymechanism(e.g.,signaturealgorithm,identificationscheme).Thehash-functionsspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC10118,knownasMASH-1andMASH-2(ModularArithmeticSecureHash)areparticularlysuitableforenvironmentsinwhichimplementationsofmodulararithmeticofsufficientlengtharealreadyavailable.Thetwohash-functionsdifferonlyintheexponentusedintheround-function.
