【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheminimumrequirementsforandmethodsofapplicationofgypsumsheathingforuseasasubstrateforexteriorwallcladding.1.2Detailsofconstructionforaspecificassemblytoachievetherequiredfireresistanceshallbeobtainedfromreportsoffire-resistancetests,engineeringevaluations,orlistingsfromrecognizedfiretestinglaboratories.1.2.1Thisspecificationshallgovernwhereitismorestringent(sizeorthicknessofframingandsizeandspacingoffasteners)thanthefire-ratedconstruction.1.3Wheresoundcontrolisrequiredforagypsumsheathingassembly,thedetailsofconstructionshallbeinaccordancewiththeacousticaltestreportofanassemblythathasmettherequiredacousticalvalue(s).1.3.1Thisspecificationshallgovernwhereitismorestringent(sizeorthicknessofframingandsizeandspacingoffasteners)thanthesound-ratedconstruction.1.4Whereresistancetorackingloadsorshearisrequiredforagypsumsheathingassembly,thedetailsofconstructionshallbeinaccordancewiththerackingorsheartestreportofanassemblythathasmettherequiredrackingorshearvalue(s).1.4.1Thisspecificationshallgovernwhereitismorestringent(sizeorthicknessofframingandsizeandspacingoffasteners)thantherackingorshear-testedconstruction.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thetextofthisstandardreferencesfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesefootnotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
