【摘要】:Thecategorizationandidentificationoftoolinghasawiderangeofadvantagestoassistinmaintaininganuninterrupted,productive,andcohesivebusinesspractice.Theseinclude,butarenotlimitedto,identifyingoperationcriticalitems,increasingtoolutilization,andhelpingtoallocateresourcesandmanageproduction.Toolinghasawiderangeofapplications.Thispracticeisintendedtoclarifythedifferencesbetweenthedifferentgroupsoftoolingandprovideidentificationsymbolismforstandardcommunicationacrossindustries.Theidentificationofuniquetoolingreflectedinthispracticewillprovideinclusiveandcomparativeinsightintotheavailabilityregardlessofownershiporacquisitionmethodology,toolingtype,specificsofitsinternalassignmentanduse,orpossiblefuturerequirements.Thisidentificationcombinationallowstheshopfloortoidentifyreadilythefamilyoftoolsrequiredinthemanufacturingprocessandrecallreadilythecorrecttoolforusage.1.1Thispracticedescribesthedifferentiation,identification,andcategorizationcriteriafortooling,bothuniqueandmoregeneralinnature.Thephysicalmarkingsshouldallowforoneormoreofthefollowingtobeascertained:partnumber,serialnumber,ownership,revision,orsymbology,orcombinationthereof.1.2Definitionsfortheuniquesubcategoriesthatmakeupthetoolingfamilywillbedescribed.Thesesubcategorieshelptodifferentiatetoolingcategoriesforuseinidentification,control,andrecordkeeping.1.3Thispracticeisintendedtobeapplicableandappropriateforallentitiesthatholdtoolingregardlessofownershiporacquisitionmethodology.Thispracticefurtherprovidesthedetailedinformationtoprovidetheflexibilityofcommonnomenclature,identification,andtrackingofuniquetooling.1.4Itemsnotcoveredbutdefinedbythispracticeinclude,butarenotlimitedto:consumableproperty,specialtestequipment(STE),plantequipment,generalorspecialmachineryequipment,andexpendabletools.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
