【摘要】:GeneralUtility:Itisnecessarytoknowthehydroxylnumberofpolyolsinordertoformulatepolyurethanesystems.Thispracticeissuitableforresearch,qualitycontrol,specificationtesting,andprocesscontrol.Limitations:FactorsaffectingtheNIRspectraoftheanalytepolyolsneedtobedeterminedbeforeacalibrationprocedureisstarted.Chemicalstructure,interferences,anynonlinearities,theeffectoftemperature,andtheinteractionoftheanalytewithothersamplecomponentssuchascatalyst,waterandotherpolyolsneedstobeunderstoodinordertoproperlyselectsamplesthatwillmodelthoseeffectswhichcannotbeadequatelycontrolled.CalibrationsaregenerallyconsideredvalidonlyforthespecificNIRinstrumentusedtogeneratethecalibration.Usingdifferentinstruments(evenwhenmadebythesamemanufacturer)forcalibrationandanalysiscanseriouslyaffecttheaccuracyandprecisionofthemeasuredhydroxylnumber.ProceduresusedfortransferringcalibrationsbetweeninstrumentsareproblematicandaretobeutilizedwithcautionfollowingtheguidelinesinSection16.Theseproceduresgenerallyrequireacompletelynewvalidationandstatisticalanalysisoferrorsonthenewinstrument.Theanalyticalresultsarestatisticallyvalidonlyfortherangeofhydroxylnumbersusedinthecalibration.Extrapolationtolowerorhigherhydroxylvaluescanincreasetheerrorsanddegradeprecision.Likewise,theanalyticalresultsareonlyvalidforthesamechemicalcompositionasusedforthecalibrationset.Asignificantchangeincompositionorcontaminantscanalsoaffecttheresults.Outlierdetection,asdiscussedinPracticesE1655,isatoolthatcanbeusedtodetectthepossibilityofproblemssuchasthosementionedabove.1.1ThisstandardcoversapracticeforthedeterminationofhydroxylnumbersofpolyolsusingNIRspectroscopy.1.2Definitions,terms,andcalibrationtechniquesaredescribed.Proceduresforselectingsamples,andcollectingandtreatingdatafordevelopingNIRcalibrationsareoutlined.Criteriaforbuilding,evaluating,andvalidatingtheNIRcalibrationmodelarealsodescribed.Finally,theprocedureforsamplehandling,datagatheringandevaluationaredescribed.1.3TheimplementationofthisstandardrequiresthattheNIRspectrometerhasbeeninstalledincompliancewiththemanufacturer''sspecifications.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoequivalentorsimilarISOstandard.
