【摘要】:SpillResistantVacuumBreakers(hereinreferredtoas"device")areinstalledinthepotablewatersupplylinestopreventthebackflowofnon-potablewatersupplycausedbyback-siphonageonly.Theyarenotforuseinanysystemwherebackpressureisappliedtothedevice.Whenthesystemispressurizedtheventclosestopreventaflowthroughtheupstreamcheckvalve,andtoeliminateventspillage.ThisstandardappliesonlytothosedevicesclassifiedasSpillResistantVacuumBreakers-SVB.Thesedevicesaredesignedforinstallationinthoseportionsofthedomesticpotablewatersystemsthatarenormallyundercontinuouspressureconditions.Thedeviceincludesone(1)checkvalveforce-loadedclosedandanairinletventvalveforceloadedopentoatmosphere,positioneddownstreamofthecheckvalve,andlocatedbetweenandincludingtwo(2)tightlyclosingshut-offvalvesand(2)testcocks.
