【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversexpandedorexfoliatedvermiculitethermalinsulatingmaterialintheformofdrycementorplaster,intendedtobemixedwithasuitableproportionofwater,appliedasaplasticmass,anddriedinplace,foruseasinsulationonsurfacesoperatingattemperaturesbetween100176;F(38176;C)and1800176;F(982176;C).Thecementshallnotbeusedwhereitwillbeexposedtocombustionconditions,suchasthehotfaceliningofafurnace.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIequivalentsofinch-poundunitsaregiveninparenthesesandmaybeapproximate.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Whentheinstallationoruseofthermalinsulationmaterials,accessoriesandsystems,mayposesafetyorhealthproblems,themanufacturershallprovidetheuserwithappropriatecurrentinformationregardinganyknownproblemsassociatedwiththerecommendeduseofthecompany''sproducts.Themanufacturershallalsorecommendprotectivemeasurestobeemployedinthesafeutilizationofsaidproducts.
