【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversnonreinforcedconcretepipedesignedforspecifiedstrengthsandintendedtobeusedfortheconveyanceofsewage,industrialwastes,andstormwaterandfortheconstructionofculverts.1.2AcompletecompaniontoSpecificationC985hasbeendeveloped,C985M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthisspecification.Note1Thisspecificationisamanufacturingandpurchasespecificationonlyanddoesnotincluderequirementsforbedding,backfill,ortherelationshipbetweenfieldloadconditionsandthedesignatedstrengthofthepipe.However,experiencehasshownthatthesuccessfulperformanceofthisproductdependsupontheproperselectionofthepipestrength,typeofbeddingandbackfill,andcarethattheinstallationconformstotheconstructionspecifications.Theowneroftheconcretepipespecifiedhereiniscautionedthathemustcorrelatethefieldrequirementswiththepipestrengthspecifiedandprovideinspectionattheconstructionsite.
